When we say hand-held camera in television we mean shoulder mounted. Using a smaller camera requires camera support, a wide angle lens, less zooming more static etc. Let’s start to experiment with the Canon 2Ti – it does 1080 HD and has HDMI out – memory cards (4x16GB?) Instead we use a Lumix FH22
Staple of video is the zoom in/zoom out – pan left/pan right – these techniques are not as effective with fixed lens and non-fluid head camera support. It’s a throw back to early hand held film techniques. Why does Haskell Wexler come to mind?
